DESCRIPTION:Please RSVP to me if you plan on attending our September 12th meeting. \nIt will be at SAIT and features a special demonstration on Wagashi\, a form of Japanese sweets/confections\, presented by Mariko and Chris Thomson. \nThis demo starts at 6:00 pm sharp in the John Ware building\, room E 212\, the demonstration theatre- check-in at the cafeteria for directions if required. \n  \nWhen this event is finished (roughly 6:30 pm)\, we move to the cafeteria\, one floor below\, also known as the Hospitality House\, for some food. \nWe will then have a special presentation by ColdChase. \nColdChase Inc.\, (www.coldchase.ca) is an Alberta technology company ; they would like to introduce their  cutting-edge Temperature Monitoring System tailored specifically for the food industry and professionals like you.\nThe system closely monitors temperature\, humidity and location conditions during storage and transportation; this mitigates the risk of costly food wastage. SUMMARY:Calgary Chefs Family Fishing Summer 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Calgary Chefs Association invites you to join us for a FREE\, family fishing day at Chain Lakes Provincial Park. The spot is easy to find and there are services at the site including toilets and snack bar! \nCalgary Chefs Social Team will be at the Chain Lakes Provincial Park main site (near the boat launch from 9am – 3pm on July 9th\, 2023\, and we’ll help folks wanting to try out fishing for the first time or who might need a little extra help getting their feet wet 🙂 \nWe’ll follow the regulations while taking advantage of Alberta’s Free Fishing Weekend – Part of Canada’s Fishing Week celebration! \nWe’ll have some refreshments available on site but please make sure to bring plenty of water\, juice\, pop etc – and extra food to snack on while fishing. If you plan to keep your catch – consider bringing a extra small cooler with ice pack and paper bag/paper towel to store your fresh fish.
