Calgary Chefs Family Fishing Summer 2023

The Calgary Chefs Association invites you to join us for a FREE, family fishing day at Chain Lakes Provincial Park. The spot is easy to find and there are services at the site including toilets and snack bar!

Calgary Chefs Social Team will be at the Chain Lakes Provincial Park main site (near the boat launch from 9am – 3pm on July 9th, 2023, and we’ll help folks wanting to try out fishing for the first time or who might need a little extra help getting their feet wet 🙂

We’ll follow the regulations while taking advantage of Alberta’s Free Fishing Weekend – Part of Canada’s Fishing Week celebration!

We’ll have some refreshments available on site but please make sure to bring plenty of water, juice, pop etc – and extra food to snack on while fishing. If you plan to keep your catch – consider bringing a extra small cooler with ice pack and paper bag/paper towel to store your fresh fish. Sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses and insect repellent are things bring along.

If you are an experienced angler and have any extra equipment, bait and expertise to share – please bring those along with you!!
